Bulltown Historic Area   Burnsville,  WV  26335 304-853-2371  For an idea of how people lived here when Braxton County was settled, the Bulltown Historic Area helps history come alive. The area includes a visitors center with many exhibits from the mid to late 1800s, structures from this era, as well as a Civil War Battlefield and fortification site. A mile-long trail leads visitors by remnants of union trenches, the Cunningham Farm, and many other fascinating spots. Tours of the area may be arranged through the Visitors Center, and self-guided tours are also permitted. The Reenactment of the Battle of Bulltown takes place at the battlefield each fall.
